| ION-O-VAC Sheet and Web
Cleaners remove contamination,
prevent hickies or voids in printed or coated
areas, and reduce costly downtime for machine
wash-up by efficiently cleaning slitter dust,
paper fuzz, lint, powder, fibers, and ambient
dust from all sorts of paper, board, film and
foil. A unique combination of brushing action,
vacuum suction, and static elimination insure
a contaminate-free product on printing presses,
slitters, coaters, laminators, and various other
machines. |

All ION-O-VAC cleaning systems are custom designed
to suit process and machine requirements. Adjustable
orifices adjust vacuum heads to varying web widths.
Manual or pneumatic lift-away mechanisms ease
web threading. Micrometer adjustments compensate
for variations in material thickness. Vacuum
heads are designed to fit the machine without
interfering with its operation. Air velocities
and pressures are calculated according to the
nature of the substrate being cleaned, the contamination
being removed, and the speed of the material
being processed. Brush bristle material, diameter,
length, as well as pattern and core size on rotary
brushes, are also designed accordingly. |
| A complete ION-O-VAC system consists of one
or more cleaning heads, a vacuum blower with
collection canister, an air filtration unit,
static neutralizers, mounting brackets, and flexible
duct to connect each head to the blower. |
